LONDON, November 14. ® For the first time representative* of inn dustry, commerce, and shipping are comd bining together to examine the question j of inter-imperial trade with the hope of ~ being able to present the concerted views a of the business community to the Imperial Conference next year. This represents' a y great step forward in the business organ!a sation of this country. 5 The Association of British Chambers of q Commerce, the Federation of British Industries, and the Chamber of Shipping 11 of the United Kingdom—representing the a commercial, industrial, and shipping in- _ terests of this country—have arranged to n form a British Preparatory Committee to 1 consider the general question of Empire , commercial policy, with the object of cole ordinating as far as possible the views of n the' business community of the United - Kingdom and of presenting to his “ Majesty’s Government joint recommendaj’ tions on all questions upon which unanimity of opinion can be obtained. J Each of the organisations represented has appointed its own Preparatory Com"c mittee. whose preliminary conclusions will . be communicated to the British Preparatory Committee for joint consideration.
