SUNDAY SERVICES.

The Rev. James Burns will conduct his' closing services at Knox Church to-mor-row. The subject of the morning sermon is “ All Roads Lead to Bethlehem,’* and the evening “ Christ’s Determined and Invincible Optimism.” Christmas carols will be rendered morning and evenin?. Md Mr North will he the soloist in ,the morning, end Miss Mary Pratt will sing in the evening.

The services at First Church to-mor-row will be conducted by the Rev. Dr Hunter, and will be appropriate to the season. The soloist at the evening service will be Mr Prank Kershaw. A special Christmas -horal service will be held at the United Congregational Church to-morrow evening, when the soloists will be Miss Doris ZafEer, Mrs Eric Ewart, and Mr J. D. M'Kechnie. The Rev. C. Maitland Elliss will speak on the text “No Room in the Inn.” His morning subject will be “For Unto Ua a Child is Born.”

Christmas services will be held at the Dundas Street Methodist Church to-mor-row, when the Rev. W. H. Hocking will preach at both services. In the evening Miss Rita Holmes will sing “ Come unto Me,” from “ The Messiah,” and the choir will and anthems. At the Higher Thought Centre, Y.W.O.A. Hall, to-morrow Cassilda Carmen will conduct the two last healing meetings of the year. The first will be at 7-8 p.m., and will be entitled ‘‘Feeding the Mind,” and the second (afterchurch), at 8.15-9 p.m., “God’s Perfect World." Peace, life, and light silences, and healjng concentrations for those sick or in trouble will be held at both meetings.

Christmas services will be conducted at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage. The subject for the morning will be “ The Babe of Bethlehem, and the Working Men; the Wjse Men and the King," and for the evening “The Changing Teats and the Abiding Christ.” At York Place Hall to-morrow morning the Fellowship of the Lord’s Table is open to all Christians. At the evening service Mr Frank Varley will preach on “The First and Second Advents—lf Christ Had Not Come, If Christ Does not Come.”

The Rev. George Miller wilt preach at the North-East Valley Presbyterian Church to-morrow, morning and evening The morning subject will be “ Strangers Worship at His Cradle,' and the evening “ The Dayspring from on High hath Visited Us.” The'soloist will be Miss Davies.

Christmas services will be conducted at the Cargill Road Methodist Church tomorrow. In the evening a special carol service will be held, with carols, anthems solos, and duets. The Rev. J. A. Lochor* will conduct the evening service and the Rev. A. R. Penn the morning. Christmas services will be held at the •St. Clair Methodist Church to-morrow, the Rev. J. A. Lochorc conducting the morning service, and the Rev. A. R. Penn Ihc evening.

Christmas services will be conducted by the Bov. E. S. Tuckwell at the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow. In the morning the subject will be “ The Croups that gathered about the Infant Christ,"’and in the evening "The Implications of the Incarnation." Favourite Christinas hymns will be sung. Special Christmas services will be conducted by Captain Chandler at 11 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. to morrow at the Dowling Street Citadel, The evening service, commencing at 7 p.m., will be conducted by Major Frank Beasy, who will be assisted by Adjutant Bracegirdle. Major Bonsy's subject for Sunday night is tfie “Wonderful Name.” The Citadel band and songsters will provide Christmas music at each gathering. •

Christmas services will be held at Trinity Methodist* Church, Stuart street, to-morrow, the Rev. G. Clement preaching in the morning, and the Rev. W. B. Scott, of Waimate, in the evening. The Rev. W.
