MODEL “T” FORD CARS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —All owners of Ford cars were led to believe when Mr Henry Ford put his model A car on the market that ail owners of model T cars would be assured of spare parts for at least 10 years. I trust that this guarantee will be carried out, but what 1 want to know is who is really interested in the vicious increase in the price of these spare parts—an increase of from 20 to 30 per cent.—in operation as from the beginning of this month. There are thousands of model T cars at present in use throughout New Zealand, and the owners of many of them arc quite satisfied to continue running them rather than suffer the heavy depreciation if they passed them in for a later model. It has been the practice of Henry Ford to change his models year by year, and now, when the New Zealand agents find that present owners prefer to stick to their old model T cars, they think it might act as a quickening up process if they heavily increase the price of spareparts. On behalf of myself and thousands of model T owners I call upon the Ford_ agents in New Zealand to explain if this increase is local or if it is made under instructions from the United An early explanation would bo appreciated, and a copy of the newspaper in which this letter appears will be forwarded to Mr Henry Ford. I feel almost sure that the heavy increase has not been fixed overseas, for the reason that it was only a week or two ago that the model A ear was reduced in price. Personally, if this unjust increase is persisted in there will be no more Henry Ford products for me.—l am, etc., Stake Parts. Dunedin, December 5.
