FRUIT MARKETS.

TO IHE EDITOB. Sib,—Under the above heading, " B. P." has written two letters criticising Mr Turner, "the Bix Six" of Roxburgh, Mr Waigth, the Otago Provincial Council, and and the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation. According to "E. P.," they are all on the wrong track. In'last Saturday's issue, he Bays he sat in the council as delegate from the Taieri Fruitgrowers' Association, but he does not say how he comes to sit as a director of the co-opera-tive fruitgrowers of Otago. Now, Sir, when he was elected a director of the cooperative fruitgrowers, he was a fruitgrower in the Taieri, but about July, 1927, he sold his orchard and removed to Roxburgh, and the strange part is that he still acts as director for the Taieri shareholders.

Pule 22 of the Co-op. reads: “Each district shall be entitled, to have one representative on the committee of management, and such representative shall be a person who is resident in that district and who is a bona fide.fruitgrower in the said district.” Now, Sir, how can “E. P." possibly be a qualified director of the Coop.? “E. P.” would be wise to have the beam removed from his own eye before he looks for the mote in another’s eye. Wad some giftie gie us sight to see' oorsels as ithers see us?—l am, etc., n A _ A. M'Donald. Outram, December 3.
