THUNDERSTORM IN SYDNEY. TWO BOYS DROWNED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, November 14. (Received Nov. 15, at 1.43 a.m.) A violent thunderstorm in Sydney today was responsible for great damage to gardens and buildings, and the loss of two lives. Three schoolboys were sheltering in a dry stormwater canal at Leichhardt when they were suddenly overwhelmed by a wall of stormwater which carried them half a mile. Two, agen 10 and S years, were drowned, but' the third was rescued in an unconscious condition. A horse was killed hy lightning, and poultry and birds were killed by hail, which also smashed windows and’motor car screens by the score. The city was deluged, the lower portions of Hunter and George streets being a swirling torrent of water inches deep.
