A young man named Arthur Kinley, of Ayleshan), Kent, was sentenced at Dover - to a fortnight's hard labour for stealing apples valued at Is from an orchard at Nonington. It was stated that nothing was previously known against Kinley. He had been in the district only three weeks, having come from the north of England. A farm hand stated that he saw four people stealing apples from the orchard, but caught only Kinley. Lord Fitz Walter was chairman of the magistrates. “ There is no such thing as an ugly woman,' says a famous Continental beauty doctor. ‘‘Every woman has sonic good point which can be brought out and used to hide others."
