VICTORIA CROSS HOLDERS.
TO DINE WITH GOVERNORGENERAL.

WELLINGTON, November 5. The Governor-General has invited the seven holders of the Victoria Cross resident in New Zealand to dine with him at Government House on Saturday night November 9, on the occasion of the Prince of Wales’s dinner to the V.C.’s of the Empire.
The names of the seven are:—Captain L. W. Andrew (Wellington), Lieutenant R. S. Jutlson, D.C.M., M.M. (New Plv mouth), S. Frickleton (Wellington), C, R. G. Bassett (Paeroa), J. G. Grant (Hawera), Sergeant. H. J. Laurent (Hawera), Private J. Crichton (Auckland) .
It is announced that the Government will bear the expenses of transport tc Wellington, and the visiting holders will be the guests of the Government at the Royal Oak Hotel during their stay in Wellington. After dining with his Excellency the V.C.’s will attend the an nual reunion of the Wellington Re"iment, which is to be held the same evening. .
