AUSTRIAN PARLIAMENT
RESIGNATION OF CHANCELLOR. . NEW CABINET TO BE FORMED. (United P,ress Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VIENNA, September 20, A long period' of feverish agitation, accompanied by repeated threats of civil war, has resulted in the forced resignation of the Chancellor (Herr Strccruwitz), followed by an invitation to Herr Johann Schober, Vienna’s police chief, to form a Cabinet. The overthrow of Herr Streennvitz means the defeat of the Moderates and their plan to reform the Constitution, and a victory for the simi-military Association of Fascists, known as -the “ Heimwehr,” which, during the past few weeks, has been engaged in the fiercest conflict with the Socialists. . The pew Government is almost certainly in the nature of a strong hand, which the Heimwehr has been demanding, but it may not be so very unwelcome to the Socialists, who prefer Herr Schober to be in authority instead of one of the Heimwehr extremists.—Australian Press Association.
