NEW, ZEALAND TOURNAMENT. AUCKLAND WINS FINAL. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 31. The New Zealand ladies 1 basket ball tourney was concluded to-day in fine weather. In the semi-finals Auckland 23 beat Southland 10; Wellington 12 beat Otago 6. In the final Auckland 14 beat Wellington 13. At half time Wellington led by 10 goals to 2. In the interisland match North Island beat South Island by 14 goals to 3. After the match the Mayor - (the Rev. J. K. Archer) presented the championship cup to Miss Mueller, captain of the Auckland team. , ' B II GRADE.' First 16, Roslyn 10. North-East Valley .5, Blue Triangle II Cl GRADE. A.B.C. 5, Strand 2.
