MINISTEBIAL. The Alinister.of Railways and of Customs (Air W. E. Taverner) was a passenger for the north by the early express yesterday, on his way to Wellington. The Alinister of Internal Affairs (Air, P. A. de la Perrelle) came to Dunedin by the night express on Sunday, and left yesterday morning for Wellington. Air Justice Kennedy left for Invercargill yesterday to preside at the Supreme Court sittings. Air H. L. Tapley went to Wellington yesterday, and will return in a week's time. Sir James Allen took his departure for Wellington yesterday, leaving' by the' express for the north at 8.40 a an. The flag on the office of the Otago Education Board was at- half-mast yesterday as a mark of respebt to the memory of Mr J. F. Murray, a rhember of the clerical staff, who died on Sunday. Air W. J. Alunro, of the staff division, was met on Thursday by members of the head office staff of the Hew Zealand Railways and presented with a dinner , set and set of - carvers to mark the occasion of his recent marriage. The presentation was made by the newly-appointed assistant general manager (Mr M. Dennehy), who offered felicitations on behalf of the staff. Mr Munro is a son of Mr J. W. Munro, M.P, (Dunedin North). Before the business of the Dunedin, Bowling Centre was proceeded with last night the president (Mr D. C. Cameron, jun.) referred in feeling terms to the death of Mr J. M. Gall away. He stated that Mr Gallaway had been a very keen bowler for many years. He was an expresident of the Dominion Association, a very honoured member of the St. Hilda Club, and an honorary member of two other clubs. A letter of sympathy had been sent to Airs Gallaway on behalf of the centre. Mr Cameron said he did not know anyone who got more pleasure out of the_ game than Air Gallaway, who enjoyed himself to the full whenever it was possible to play. As a mark of respect ;to the memory of Air Gallaway, those present stood in silence for a few moments.
