BALCLUTHA DISTRICT NEWS (From Our Own Correspondent.) BALCLUTHA, August 18. SCHOOL GAMES. Some interesting primary school games were played at Balclutha yesterday. Five teams of basket ball girls from different schools competed for the South Otago primary schools cup. The series resulted as follows:—Balclutha 5 goals, Kaitangata 4 goals; Clinton 15, Stirling nil; Milton 3, Kaitangata nil; Clinton 4, Kaitangata ni’; Milton 4, Balclutha 3. The final for the cup will now be played between Clinton and Milton. Clinton won the trophy last year. In the concluding series for the South Otago Rugby football primary, schools shield, played at Balclutha yesterday, Milton beat Kaitangata by II points fo nil, but in the afternoon Milton had to go down before Balclutha to the tune of 15 points to 0 points. Balclutha also won the trophy last year. Air John Gold, of Balclutha, has decided to mark the victory of the local'hoys by giving the team a dinner at an early date
