AMERICAN WHEAT
THE WINTER PRODUCTION. DEPARTMENT’S ESTI MATE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, August 9. The Department of Agriculture estimates the winter wheat production in 10129 to be 568,233,000 bushels, compared with 578.000,000 bushels last year. The average yield of winter wheat per acre is placed at 14.2, and the ijuality of the crop at 86.76 per cent. The condition of the durum wheat in four States was 57.7 per cent, of normal, indicating a production this year of 49.263,000 bushels. compared with 93.000,000 in 1928. The production of all wheat is estimated at 773,885,00’) bushels in 1929, compared with 902.000.000 in 1928, Australian Press Association.
