SEVEN PEOPLE FOUND DEAD. TRAGEDY OF THE DESERT. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, July 26. A San Francisco message states that a tragedy of thirst was revealed as searchers followed a zigzag trail of footprints in the California Desert near Niland-until they came upon the bodies of six people sprawled face downwards in the sand. These had'been passengers in a motor car which had been found by a search party. Under the car itself was the body of the seventh passenger. He had crawled under the vehicle to seek relief from the burning temperature of 105 degrees.—United Service,
