PALMERSTON NOTES.

(From Oue Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, July 8. GUN CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the second annual shoot for Mr G. Roberts’s silver cup took place. Tbe conditions were 21 birds, handicap, the cup to be won two years in succession or three years at intervals. There were 16 competitors. The scoring was far below that of last year. S. Snusball (11 yards), 16 breaks, was tbe highest scorer, and was followed bv J. R. Roy (13 yards) 15, E. Kelly (15 yards) 14, and A. H. Cowan (11 yards) 14.
