UNIFIED CONTROL IN LONDON. BILLS BEFORE PARLIAMENT./ •„ (British Official Wireless.) (United Prose Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ’ : RUGBY, May 3. . (Received May 5, at 5.5 p.m.) The House of Commons gave a third reading last night to two Bills designed to promote the co-operation of the London passenger traffic and the provision of a common management of the tramway, omnibus, and tube services. The promoters gave an undertaking that if Parliament passed the measures cheap ticket facilities, including workmen’s fares on tramways, would be continued, and workmen’s fares introduced on the bus services, and that further tube extensions to districts of Greater London would be undertaken. The extensions would provide employment, while an undertaking was given that the number of traffic employees would not be reduced.
