With Dr Schacht’s return, the expert* engaged on the reparations discussions seem about to enter the final phase. Dr Bchacht declined to give any. indication us to whether or not he intended to bre§k fresh ground. He will take Mr Owen Young into bis confidence to-night, and the Allied experts will learn the results of the interview to-morrow. ’lf Dr Schacht is able to. offer a promising basis for renewed negotiations these will begin informally, otherwise the A Iliad experts will complete, their reports and the inquiry will terminate.—Australian Press Association.
