CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION. 'Pub United Press Association,j AUCKLAND, May 3. The Arbitration Court awai d £IOOO .compensation to Margaret Lawrie, wife of John Lawrie, who died on January 25 aa the result of an accidc.t while working on the Ulimaroa. A sling of timber, left resting against the hatch coamings, slipped and fell on him. The sum is to be paid by Messrs Huddart, Parker, Ltd., together with medical and funeral expenses (£32 19s).
