SUNDAY SERVICES.

Harvest thanksgiving services will be held-in First Church to-morrow. The Rev. G. Erskine Nicol will conduct the services. His morning subject will be •“ The. Raiment of God,” and in. the evening his address will be entitled “ The Restorer of Harvest,” Dr V. E. Galway will be the organist. At both services in Knox Church tomorrow'the Rev. James Burns will be the preacher. . In the morning he will speak on “ Making Life More Lovable,? and in the evening he will deliver the first of a series of sermons on modern problems and the modern, mind, entitled “Modern Superstitions: Is There Such a Thing as Luck? ” Mr Stuart Falconer will sing the solo, “Consider and Hear Me,” at the evening service. . In the St. Hilda Town Hall to-mor-row evening Mr Siblfey will address his hearers on “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.” “ How to Conquer Our Moods ” will, be the Rev. W. H. Hocking’s sermon theme at. the Duudas Street Methgdist Church to-morrow evening. The choir will render an anthem. The Rev. A. C. Lawry will conduct the morning service. Evangelist Forbes Maclcod will continue the Gospel tent campaign. at Eavensbourne during the coming week. Healing meetings arc being conducted by Cassilda Carmen at the Higher Thought Centre, Lower View Street Hall, with healing concentration for the sick. Her subject this Sunday will be “Conquering Environment.” At the NortlmEast Valley Presbyterian Church the Rev. George Miller will preach in the morning on “ Sacrifice,” and in the evening on’“Achan’s Sin.” Thfc soloist will be Miss Moss. The Rev. Professor S. F. Hunter will preach in the Caversham Presbyterian Church in the morning, and the Rev, R. Ferguson Fish will preach in the evening. . To-morrow will be observed as “ Bible Sunday ” in St. Stephen’s Church, when the Rev. Thomas Miller will preach in the morning on “ The Necessity for the Gospel,” and in the evening on “ The Bible—So Human, So Divine.” At York Place Hall to-morrow there will be fellowship at the Lord’s table in the morning, and in the evening Mr Frank Varlcy will give the first of a series of studies in Hebrews ii, “The Crcatioii or the' Understanding of Faith.” Studies in the First Epistle of St. John will be continued by the Rev. C. Maitland Elliss at the morning service at the United Congregational Church. In the ■evening, when Holy Communion will bo celebrated, the subject will ho “ Christ Receiveth Sinful Men.” The Rev, G. Clement will conduct the morning service at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow, and in the evening the Rev. H. E. Bellhouso will be the preacher, taking ns his subject “ Possessing Our Possessions.” The choir will render IvanofTs “ Incline Thine Ear.” “ Mothers’ Day ” is to be observed in the Cargill Road Methodist Church tomorrow. The Rev. A. R. Fcnn will preach at 11 a.m., and the Rev. J.-A. Lochorc at 0.30 pm., when his subject will be “ Woman—The Supremacy of Heart Over Brain and Brawn.” Communion will bo-celebrated at the close of the evening service. ihe Rqv. Albert Mead will conduct l the services at the Moray Place Congregational Church to-morrow. Jn °thc morning lie will talk to the children on “The Life of Jesus,” and-the sermon will be on “ Obedience.” The evening address will be on the “ World’s Best Seller—the Bible—the Most Companionable of All Books.” Mr John Leech will sing “Be Thou Faithful” (Mendelssohn). At the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow morning there will be held the- first of a series of quarterly fellowship services, following by the Communion, conducted by the Rev. E. S. Tnckwcll, who will also preach in the evening upon “The Broad of Life,” and make reference jo the passing of Mr Lewis Tily. Ihe Rev. G, B, Hinton, the. ucwlyappointed superintendent,- will conduct both services to-morrow at the 'Matron Hall, Methodist- Central Mission. The morning subject will be “Three .Maxims,” and the evening subject “ The Friend of the Failure.” -Miss Olga Wynne will sing the solo, “0 Divine Redeemer” (Gounod). The choir will render the anthem, “ God is Love ” (Barnby); soloist, Mr M'Naught.
