ELECTIONS IN BRITAIN
THE NEW ROLLS ISSUED. WOMEN IN THE MAJORITY. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, May 1, From May Day Britain will be ruled by women. The hew electoral lists, including new women voters between the ages of 21 and 30, reveal a majority over the men of 2,250,000. In the county of London alone the ■ women are in a majority of 500,000, while seaside places, such as Bournemouth and Hastings, have a preponderance of 15,000, Except in one or two industrial constituencies, women are everywhere in the majority. In the City of London, however, men are still supreme by a majority of 4000 over women.—Australian Press Association.
