CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. i The weather was fine for training operations at Riccarton .this morning. The plough track 1 was out_ of action as a result of the-recent rain, but the No. 1 grass track ‘ provided good going. The horses with .engagements 'at Oamaru provided most of the' interest. Amourette covered five .furlongs in Imin 4 l-ssec, wlijle Roy, went oyer the same ground in Imin 3’3-ssec. Prickles was given a working gallop of a. mile, while. Sudden Storm sprinted half a mile. These two may be racing at the Dunedin meeting next month. Sea Raid beat Karitane over five, fur: longs in Imin 4 l-ssec. ' Gay Sonnet covered six furlongs in Imin IBsec and did it.well. Huntley was. slightly in front of. Winsome Boy at-the end of- six. furlongs in Imin 18sec. : .Amor and.. Evening were, associated over seven furlongs, which they ran in Imin 33sec without being ridden but. Miss Nightraid and Flair sprinted half a mile along the back in 50 2-ssec. , Buoyant galloped a mile in Imin 43 2-ssec.
