A SENTRY DISAPPEARS

(Received May 2, at 1 a.nu) Scotland Yard and the military authorities are investigating the disappearance from Buckingham Palace of a Scots Guard sentry, whose absence a patrolling policeman reported. The Palace precincts were searched without result till daylight broke, when the sentry’s busby and rifle were found in Green Park, 200 yards from the Palace. His bayonet is still missing. The Daily Mail points out that disappearance from a post on Palace guard is unparalleled in the history of- the army.—United Service.
