SIZE OF GOLF BALLS
EXPERIMENTS IN ENGLAND. CHANGE NOT FAVOURED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyrlgt>:.) LONDON, April 30. The Daily Ne-jva says that the Rules of Golf Committee has cabled the United States Golf Association that after experiments with a larger and lighter ball of 1.68 in and 1.550 z; any decided advantages of the change are not commensurate with the resulting disturbances of the conditions of play, and the manufacturers therefore do not propose to ask the Royal and Ancient Golf Club’s sanction to the change.—United Service.
