THE Y.M.C.A.

The first monthly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. board of directors was held last night, the business being chiefly the election of officers for the ensuing year. Mr J. L. Salmond, who has.held the position of president for two years, was unanimously re-elected. The following are the other office-bearers:—Vice-pre-sidents—Messrs G. M. Thomson, M.L.C., H. K. Wilkinson, J. B. Waters, J. M‘Ara, and C; J. Darracott; treasurer, Mr C. J. Darracott; auditors, Messrs Barr, Hercus, and Co.. The board of directors appointed, at the annual meeting is as follows: —Messrs J. L Salmond, G. M. Thomson, M.L.C., H* K. Wilkinson, J. B. Waters, J.' M‘Ara. C. J. Darnfcott, W. J. Brown, P. W Curtis, J. D. Clarke, J, W. Dove, H P. Desmoulins, T. Hilliker,' W, Crawford, J. Gray, W. M'Hutchison, W. Wright, J. M'Geroge, N. MollUon, J. Williams, George Salmond, J. Macfarlane, H, P. West, Revs. A, Mead and G. B. Hinton. The financial statement presented, after accounts for £247 17s 8d had been passed for payment, showed that the bank overdraft at the end of March was £1242 10s 9d. Mr J. Ledgerwood, who has served the association as an efficient Boys’ Work director, will be leaving Dunedin at the end of May, , proceeding to the Y.M.C.A, Training College in America for a period of two years’ study. Mr F. Bridges, late of Auckland, has been appointed to sucfced Mr Ledgerwood.
