REPARATIONS PROBLEM

GERMAN OFFICIAL ATTITUDE. APPARENTLY UNCHANGED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BERLIN, April 30. (Received April 30, at 9 p.m.) Dr Schacht is visiting Berlin, but no Cabinet meeting was held during the week-end; only conferences with individual Ministers. It is assumed, therefore, that the German official attitude towards reparations is not changed. The official opinion is that there is little hope of an eleventh hour agreement, but the public expects Dr Schacht to return to aids with a reparati us offer which will be more satisfactory to the Allies, and which will at any rate permit of the" reopening of negotiations.—Australian Press Association.
