THE HOUSE OF COMMONS
SCENES DURING A DEBATE.
COMMUNISTS RESPONSIBLE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, April 29. There was a scene in the House of Commons during a debate wholly unconnected with India. : A white-haired, well-dressed man in the gallery leapt to his feet and scattered in the Chamber handfuls of blue leaflets, shouting: “ Down ’ with the ‘ Simon Commission.” He was led out without resistance. As soon as he had left a .woman sitting near rose and shouted: “ Down with the persecutors! Down with the Government that murders Indian workers.” While being led out she shouted: “ Down with torturers and murderers/ .’and she then sang the “ Red Flag.” The interrupters, who admitted that they were Communists, were detained till the House rose.—Australian Press Association—United Service.
