THE TRAINING COLLEGE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir—lt was gratifying to read in your correspondence column a letter relating to the non-existence p{ a Training College Ex-Students’ Association. The want of such an organisation js so evident that it is a wonder that the principal of the college has not actively taken steps to Stimulate interest in providing machinery to link up ex-students with the college. There can be no doubt that, apart from the organisation of social gatherings and meetings, an active and strongly organised ex-students’ association could do much in supporting remits from teachers’ conferences, etc., aiming at the improvement of our education system. Perhaps some official explanation can be made concerning the present inactivity whatever body was formed during the j'. alee year of the Dundin Training College, but even if the evils of lassitude aud atrophy have proved fatal to existence, then I suggest that the members of the Training College staff immediately interest themselves m enlisting the support of those ex-students who, not forgetful of their loyalty and attachment, are evidently keen on promoting and maintaining a worthwhile association.—l am etc.,. Another Ex-Student.
