OTAGO CLUB. The _ second qualifying round r of the' Otago Golf Club Championship was played on Balmacewen links on Saturday afternoon. Good playing conditions prevailed; but the scores generally were not quite so good as those handed in in the first round. The following have qualified:—

J: R. Callender, A. N. Haggitt, D. M. Irvine, and G. Gibson tied with' aggregates.of 168, and in the play off G. Gibson and D. M. Irvine'returned the best rounds, entitling them to'fifteenth and six- , teenth places. The draw for the first round of match play is as follows:—K. Ross v. D. M. Irvine, Spence v. Henderson, Barnett v.

Jsrascli, Keed v. Shield, C. T. Irvine v. J. G. Dick, Burns v. Butcher, Laidlaw v. Wight, Gibson v. Colbeck. The trophy for the best net score on the second rourid was won by J. Manson. The best net scores were: —

•ST. CLAIR CLUB. The sec6nd qualifying.round of the Club Championship an.d junior Cup was played on Saturday, The following qualified:— Seniors.

The cup donated by Mr B. Gff Hudson for the best- net aggregate score for two rounds was won by W. Clelland (21 handicap) with a net total of 126. • The Medal Handicap played .in conjunction with the second round ■ resulted as follows: —
