SUNDAY EXCURSIONS.
A HOSTILE RESOLUTION. “ CONTRAVENING THE AIM OF THE LAW.” (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 11. The Wellington Presbytery at its meeting passed a lengthy resolution condemning the Railways Department, the Wellington City Counci, and the Eastbourne Borough Council for commercialising Sunday by organising excursion trips on that day. The resolution contends that the bodies so doing are contravening the aim of the law thereon, and are thereby going beyond their due prerogatives.
