TREASURE IN BOLIVIA
EXPLORATION SYNDICATE. MORE FUNDS REQUIRED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyrlgnt.j BUENOS AIRES, December 13. Professor Edgar Sanders, chief of the British exploration syndicate wnich is searching for the Jesuit treasure in Bolivia, has sailed for England for the purpos of raising another £50,000 for the purchase of - pumping machinery and other equipment. He said: " The treasure undoubtedly exists, though perhaps it does not total £10,000,000, as reported. In the course of our investigations we discovered 280 skeletons, presumably those of peons, who were employed in carrying the sure to the hiding place. Most of them had evidently been poisoned, whole others had been beaten to death, their bones being broken.”—Australian Press Association. . ■
