(Received Dec. 15, at 5.5 p.m.) in' the House of Commons, Sir A. SteelMaitiand, in reply to a -question, said that, compared with 1914, the spending power of the pound sterling in 1£24 was 11s sd, and now it was 12s H.—Australian Press Association—United Sen-ice.
