SINGAPORE NAVAL BASE
EXPENDITURE TO D*ATE. 9 _ STATEMENT IN PARLIAMENT. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 12. (Received Dec. 13, at 6.5 p.m.) In the House of Commons, Colonel Headlam informed Mr Wedgwood Benn that to tho end of November £515,000 had been spent on the Singapore naval works. This waa covered by the following contributions:—Hongkong, £250,000; Federated Malay States,-£854,000; and New Zealand, £IBO,OOO, which had been approximated towards the cost of the works and the new floating dock.—Australian Press Association—United Service.
