(From Oor, Own . Correspondent. | PALMERSTON, December 5. After nh exhaustive test last week-end, .the Waihemo.County Council decided to purchase a Booth-Macdonald grader and ■scarifier, into which has been built' a M'Cormack-Deering tractor. The machine is now . working daily, and making great improvements to the roads. For some, weeks past a homing pigeon has made its home at Mr J.’M'Lew’s, of Morrisons. The bird has a ring on each leg and presumably has lost its way in a trial flight. Shearing is general all round the district just now. ■. The rainfall for the month of November, registered at .the Palmerston District High School, was 70'points.
