ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.

WIRELESS MESSAGE FROM COMMANDER. GOOD PROGRESS BEING MADE. . According to advice received in Dunedin, excellent progress is being made by the Antarctic expedition ships, the City of New York and the Eleanor Bolling, on the'voyage from Otago to the ice-pack The message that came to hand stated that the vessels were being favoured by good weather. In view of the boisterous nature of the weather exnerienced in Dunedin during the past 24 hours, it was thought that the expedition ships would be battling against similar conditions, and many inquiries were made during the day whether any news had come to hand. The following wireless message, sent from the City of New York at 3 a.m. yesterday, was received by Messrs H. L.'Tapley and Co. later, in the morning;— “Making seven knots. Everything fine. Regards and gratitude from nil of us.— Byrd.”
