NORTH TAIERI CHURCH.

The annual garden party and sale of work.of the North Taieri Church was held at the residence of Mrs D. T. Shand at Wylies Crossing on Saturday. Owing to the wet weather the attendance was not so good as usual. Mr C. Findlay, in the absence of Mr Badcock, in an appropriate speech, opened the sale at 2 o’clock A brisk business followed, the sum of £SO being raised. The stalls were presided over as ■ follows •—Works stall, htesdames A. bmellie and Pugh; meats, Mr and Mrs L Findky and AGs Wright; cakes. Mrs Williamson, Misses Currie, Bradbury, and Williamson; fancy goods and sweets, the Gins Auxiliary; tea rooms, Mesdames bfaand and Leishman, and assistants. The promoters desire to thank all who assisted in any way. • -
