INTOXICATED MOTORIST.
FINE OF £SO IMPOSED. # (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 2. W. W. Faulder, a dentist, of Newton, was ,ned £SO at the Onehnnga, Police Court for being drunk while in charge of a car on February 20, and for dangerous driving, causing severe injuries to a passenger. The accused subsequently disappeared. The magistrate (Mr E. C. Levvey) described it as a deplorable case, but said that apparently it was not the custom in Auckland to inflict imprisonment.
