A VALUABLE NECKLACE
VANISHES IN THE POST. THE MYSTERY SOLVED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) PARIS, April 16. (Received April 16, at 11 p.m.) The seven-week mystery 'surrounding the loss of a necklace of rose and cream pearls valued at £50,000, which vanished in the post between London and Paris, has been solved by the arrest of Emil© CaDerac after an investigation of the lives of 50 officials in the Parisian sorting office. Caberac, in a statement, said that the parcel was slightly battered and showed the pearls, which he pocketed. When he heard oh their value he became terrified and sent them hidden in the lining of an old waistcoat to his mother at Toulouse, who was not aware that the pearls were in the garment.
