BENEFIT TO SHOP WORKERS. GRATITUDE TO MR SIDEY. (Per United Press. Association.) -PALMERSTON N.. January 30. '• That this meeting of the retailers of Palmerston North place on record onr appreciation of the benefits received by ourselves and our assistants from the operation of the Summer Time Act for the past three months. An extra hour of daylight in the cool of the evening on these hot summer days has proved to be a Godsend so far as health is concerned, and our thanks are due to Mr Sidey for his tenacity of purpose in securing this great advantage for every retailer, ware* houseman, and factory worker.” This was the text of a motion carried at a meeting of the Palmerston North Retailers’ Association. ,
