He has already had two conversations with Signor Mussolini, who is most anxious to improve diplomatic relations with Rumania, which seemed lately to be veering more and more towards Paris as the ’nerve centre of the Little Entente. Moreover, negotiations for a trade agreement have been long held up, as difficulty was experienced in arranging for Italy to purchase Rumanian oil under conditions mutually satisfactory. M. Titulcscu issued a statement that he is certain that all difficulties could be smoothed out. Trade parleys were being resumed on a more satisfactory basis, and there was no dash of diplomatic interests. —A. ami N.Z. Cable.
