THE WORLD’S SPEED RECORD. BRITISH ATTEMPT TO BE MADE. (British Official Wireless.) (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright > RUGBY, January 25. It is learned that the Air Ministry has decided to make an attempt at Calshot in March on the world’s speed record at present held by an Italian pilot. Major de Bernardi. The machine used will be a supermarine Napier seaplane of the type employed in the Schneider trophy race, but the pilot has not yet been selected.
