A FARMER’S FAILURE.
£50,060 LOST IN SEVEN YEARS. (Pee United Press Association.) ASHBURTON, January 25. Debts amounting to £20,688, all of which are unsecured, with assets amounting to onlv £IOO. arc features of the bankruptcy of a Methven farmer named Robert Wallace Wightman. The Bankrupt said he had a surplus of £17,000 three years ago, and seven years ago he had £52,000 to his credit. The mortgages on the properties, most of which fell hack to the various mortgagees, totalled £68,000.
