DEATH OF CHARLES POUNDS
A TOUCHING COINCIDENCE
LONDON, December 22.
There was a touching coincidence in the death of Charles Pounds. Only a week ago all the leading theatricals gave a benefit matinee, realising £3500, and at the matinee a letter of thanks from Pounds was read: “ Hoping that kind fate will permit me to appear before you and to please you again.”—A. and N.Z. Cable.
