GOOD TEMPLARY.

The meeting of the Piesctic Lodge No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, was held on Tuesday in the Oddfellows’ Hall, King Edward street. Bro, E. J. lies, thief templar, presided, one candidate being initiated. There was a good attendance, a number of visitors also being present. Bro. Bowerfield, ol Pioneer of Wellington Lodge No. 11, con. veyed greetings from English and Scottish Lodges, which he had visited. Bro. Dalton, grand chief templar, gave an encouraging and interesting address, urging the members to greater effort to increase the membership and number of lodges. .A company of members of the lodge rendered Christmas Carols, and Bro. Bowerfield gave a sacred solo. Creel ings were extended to the visitors, and th e C.T. extended the season's greetings to all mem. hers. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple met the •same evening, when there was a large attendance, Bro. J. Hilton, S.J.W., being in charge. -As it was the closing meeting for th e year refreshments were supplied to the children, and the following prizes were presented : Tor proposing most members during the year Sister Dorothy Peake 1. Pro. I) Nod! 2. Attendance, Si-ter Edna Page j, Sister M. Lockhart 2, Bro. E, Arnold 3. The item for the evening- was a fancy dress competition, the majority of the members entering. The children made a tine show when arranged for judging, the costumes being of many colours and types.
