(Receved Dec. 22, at 10 p.m.) 'The Travellers’ Insurance Company predicts that there will be 23,000 deaths and 800<®00 injuries next year due to automobile accidents. The estimate, which is based on the records of the last two years, does not allow for the customary yearly increase. The 1925 and 1926 records show that someone was cither killed or injured every 14 seconds, and that there was one death for each 1000 cars. At this rate 400,000 people will he killed in automobile accidents in the coming 20 years. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
