A SCHOONER BURNED
MEMBER OF CREW PERISHES. SURVIVORS PICKED UP. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) HONOLULU, December 20. The Niagara sent a wireless message that she picked up 11 of the crew of the schooner Doris Crane, which was destroyed by fire en route from Fanning Island to San Francisco with a load of copra. One man perished in the flames. —A. and N.Z. Cable. The Doris Crane is a British motor ship. The owners are Whiteman and Crane, and Captain H. C. Davidson is in command of the vessel.
