At the Technical College tournament the Christchurch ladies’ hockey team defeated Otago by 2 goals to nil. The weather was ideal, but the ground was somewhat rough. Just before the conclusion the Otago captain (Miss Carman) received a blow on the head, which necessitated her leaving the field. In the football match Christchurch defeated Dunedin by -43 points to 3. The winners were heavier and faster than their opponents, who lacked combination and were weak on defence. For the winners Forbes (2), French 121, Blackaby, Hill, Johansen, Qnaid and Burgess got tries, Blackabv jjjso potting a goal and Johansen kicking” a penalty. Johansen converted three tries and French one. For Dunedin Robertson scored an unconverted try.
