CABINET MINISTER RESIGNS. MR WALSH LEAVING POLITICS. (Frees Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 28. (Received August 29, at 7 p.m.i There was a mild sensation in Dublin when it was announced that J- JWalsh, Minister of Posts and Telegraphs, was resigning and not contesting the election. It is reported that he is abandoning politics. The Daily Herald describes him as always something of an Ishmael in the Cabinet. He is a whole-hog Protectionist and an ultra-Nationalist. It is announced that Sinn Fein is not participating in the elections!, and it is stated that this is due to antagonism to de Valera’s acceptance of the oath. A. and N.Z. Cable.
