HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.

The Celebrity Vaudeville Company, under the direction of Messrs J. C. Williamson and Co., presented the- second programme of the Dunedin season last night at His Majesty’s Theatre. The programme has been well selected, and includes plenty of variety. The troupe includes two first-class comedians and a good orchestra, two essentials to success. Dick Henderson and Phil Rich provide an excellent fund of humour and wit, and the canary opera has more in it than its mere novelty. Colin Crane and Marie Lawton are the vocalists of the company, the latter adding to her charming voice a delightful skill on the ham. Alyce Adair appears in some pretty turns with Phil Rich, and wins a great deal of applause for her dancing. The Lenga Brothers, with their unusual dancing, provide a relcvation of what can be done in eccentric and grotesque dancing by those who make a study of the art. Valencia, the flvine trapeze artist, causes some thrills when ho goes through his amazing act on the trapeze. 20ft above the heads of the audience. The Celebrity Vaudeville Company will appear again to-night.
