CONCERT AT HYDE.
(From Our Own Correspondent ) HYDE, August 29. Hyde township and surrounding districts including Macraes, Middleraarch, and Ranfurly, were represented at a concert held in tne Hyde School on Friday last, in aid of the school library funds. Taking into account the very wet weather that had prevailed during the week, the committee has everv right to feel pleased with its efforts, and the result must be gratifying to it. The concert was organised by Miss Russell, the local school teacher, and reflects credit on her, with the _ limited talent available. She was ably assisted by Mr F Cusado. Mr T. Dowling was in the chair, and with a few words extended a hearty welcome to all present. The programme was as follows;—Pianoforte duet. Misses Morgan and Kinney; Russian dance. Miss Ethel Todd; solo, Miss N. Bruhns; songs, Mr F. Crosado; mtUtary dance, Miss Joyce Todd t solo, Mr r. M’Kce; dance, Miss Ethel Todd; pianoforte duet, Misses Morgan and Kinnoy; solo, Mrs Coster; step oiinc©. Miss Joj[ce Todd; piano solo, Mus P. Kinney; skipping dance, Miss E. lodd; s ° n S s » Crosado. A solo by Miss Russell brought the programme to a close. Dancing was indulged in until the small, hours tho music being supplied by Mr Len Bruhns. Mr M. Wisnesky acted as M.C. _
