BOARD OF HEALTH.

CARRYING OUT OF POLICY. NO INTERFERENCE PROBABLE. (Special to Dailx Times.) WELLINGTON. December 19. . When the Board of Health met for its quarterly meeting in September last, fears were expressed by the members that the local Government Loans Board might neutralise the effect of considered action by the board in dealing with matters of grave public' importance, and would have authority to override its decisions. At the final quarterly meeting of the board last week the Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young), stated that he had given consideration to the views expressed. He felt sure, however, that the Board of Health need fear no difficulty so far as the Local Government Loans Board was concerned. The Health Board had to consider tho public health aspect of schemes submitted, but there were other aspects, such as soundness from the engineering points of view in relation to finance which would be reviewed by the Loans Board. He felt >-ure that the views of the Board of Health would always be given the utmost consideration, and he anticipated no difficulty.
