LAND SETTLEMENT.
A LEAGUE PROPOSED. (Peb United Peess Association.) AUCKLAND, December 18. Initial steps are being taken in Auckland for tho promotion of a Dominion league designed to secure the co-operation of the town and country in the development and bringing into full production all undeveloped and partially*deyeloped lands; also to assist generally in increasing the returns from the soil. The league is to bo entirely a non-party political organise■ lion, and already sufficient funds nave been promised in Auckland to make the appointment of a Dominion organiser possible. .
